Day two of the FMSPro soccer showcase for girls was just as exciting and impressive as the first day, with female athletes showcasing their determination and passion for the sport. The unique format of the showcase, focused on technical skill exercises in smaller groups and 7×7-9v9 games, allowed for constant play time and visibility for the players in front of coaches and scouts. The coaches and scouts also had the opportunity to get one-on-one time with all the players, which gave them a really good sense of each player’s ability.
The players were put through a series of drills designed to test their technical abilities, including ball control, passing, and shooting. They were also given the opportunity to showcase their skills in full 11v11 games, which provided a realistic representation of the game for coaches and scouts. This original and optimal format of the showcase ensured that every player had the opportunity to shine, and the coaches and scouts in attendance took note of the exceptional talent on display. The showcase also provided an opportunity for players to connect with coaches and scouts, and learn more about what it takes to make it to the next level. Many of the players were able to secure college, university or professional team offers and have a clear path for their future in soccer.
The FMSPro soccer showcase for girls was not only a display of athleticism, skill, and determination, but it was also an opportunity for players to connect with other players and create memories. The girls had an exceptional time, and the FMSPro showcase was a great success. The showcase was a clear indication of the growing interest and participation in the sport among young girls, and a significant achievement for women’s soccer in Canada. It was a perfect way to end the event and set the tone for the future of soccer.
