FMSPRO COMMITS
Laiken van Rooyen to the University of New Mexico

FMSpro is proud to announce that Laiken van Rooyen has committed to the University of New Mexico (NCAA Division 1). Laiken is an extremely dynamic and powerful attacking midfielder who currently plays for Burnaby FC and Team British Columbia.
Born in 2008, she is explosive and thrives in the box, creating and finishing numerous scoring chances. Laiken excels at finding pockets of space and taking on defenders, making her a lethal threat in the attacking third. In addition to her exceptional talent, Laiken maintains an impressive 4.0 GPA. While many programs were interested in Laiken, the University of New Mexico proved to be the best fit.
The head coach at the University of New Mexico is Heather Dyche, who, along with her associate head coach Karley Nelson, brings an impressive coaching background, including experience with the U.S. National Team. Coach Nelson stated, “We needed a powerful attacking midfielder who can come in and contribute immediately, and we feel Laiken can be that person.” Congratulations, Laiken! The future is bright, and we wish you all the best!
