FMSPRO COMMITS

Maya Zappavigna to Mercyhurst University

From the prestigious halls of Shattuck-St. Mary’s to the NCAA Division I stage, Maya Zappavigna is taking her 4.0 GPA and dynamic playstyle to Mercyhurst University. Discover why Coach Dale White is thrilled to add this versatile threat to the Lakers’ roster.

FMSpro is proud to announce the commitment of Maya Zappavigna to Mercyhurst University, an NCAA Division I program.

Maya is an athletic and dynamic player who excels as both a winger and an outside back. Currently competing for the world-renowned Shattuck-St. Mary’s program, Maya has evolved into a significant attacking threat, consistently contributing vital goals and assists. During her time at Shattuck-St. Mary’s, she has played an instrumental role while competing in the nation’s premier tournaments and showcases.

While her profile attracted interest from several programs, Maya chose Mercyhurst for its perfect balance of academic and athletic excellence. One of the most compelling aspects of Maya’s game is her remarkable versatility; her ability to perform at a high level in multiple positions allows her to bring a unique and valuable dimension to any tactical setup.

Mercyhurst Head Coach Dale White is thrilled to welcome Maya to the program, noting that her skill set and competitive drive will make her a significant asset to the Lakers.

Maya’s success is not limited to the pitch, as she boasts an impressive 4.0 GPA, exemplifying the true definition of a student-athlete.

Congratulations, Maya! We wish you continued success as you begin your Division I career in the Northeast Conference (NEC).
