FMSPRO COMMITS

Nathan Karanganwa to Marist University

After an instrumental tenure at JUCO giant Iowa Western, elite defensive specialist Nathan Karanganwa is headed to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Discover why this Quebec standout chose Marist University to continue his climb in the NCAA Division I ranks.

FMSpro is proud to announce the commitment of Nathan Karanganwa to Marist University (NCAA Division I).

Nathan is an exceptionally athletic and versatile talent, capable of dominating the game as a central defensive midfielder or anchoring the back line as a center-back. He joins the Red Foxes following a highly successful stint at Iowa Western, one of the most prestigious junior college programs in the United States. Under the guidance of Coach Brown, Nathan played an instrumental role in a system that is constantly in the hunt for national championships.

While Nathan attracted interest from several high-level programs, he chose Marist as the premier fit for his academic and athletic ambitions. Marist, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, recently enjoyed a historic season where they were ranked among the Top 25 programs in the nation for a significant portion of the year. For Nathan, the move also offers a geographic advantage, bringing the Quebec native closer to home while he competes at the highest level of collegiate soccer.

Marist Head Coach Matt Viggiano is thrilled to welcome Nathan to the roster. Coach Viggiano views Nathan as a player who can make an immediate impact, citing his elite athleticism, tactical discipline, and ability to cover ground as traits that will translate seamlessly to the Division I game.

Beyond his physical tools, Nathan has proven to be a dedicated student-athlete, maintaining a strong GPA throughout his time in Iowa.

Big congratulations, Nathan! we look forward to seeing your continued success in the MAAC.
