FMSpro is proud to announce the signing of Andrea Morra to NCAA Division 1 program, Western Illinois University.
Andrea is a physical and powerful target forward who currently plays for Woodbridge SC. Born in 2008, Andrea has a strong instinct for goal and scored several crucial goals during the season, helping lead Woodbridge to an incredibly successful campaign—winning both the OPDL and the Canadian Championship.
Known for being clinical in front of goal, Andrea capitalizes on every opportunity and brings a dominant presence to the attacking third. His profile perfectly matched what Western Illinois was looking for—a strong target forward who can help take the program to the next level.
Last season, Western Illinois qualified for the OVC semifinals, and with Andrea joining the attacking line alongside key returning players, the coaching staff believes they now have a competitive and dangerous front line capable of challenging for even greater success.
The team is led by the accomplished Dr. Eric Johnson, who has been at the helm for many years and has guided the program to six national tournament appearances. Coach Johnson is excited about Andrea’s addition, stating that he brings a unique dimension to their attack, and believes that playing off of Andrea’s presence up top could be a game changer.
Andrea is also a strong student off the pitch, maintaining a high GPA in the classroom. He has further developed his game through time spent training and playing abroad in Italy, which has added to his experience and tactical understanding.
A big congratulations to Andrea Morra — we wish you all the best in this exciting next chapter!
