The day was filled with competitive spirit and passion for soccer, culminating in the finals for Tournament A and B. The Black and Blue teams battled it out in Tournament A, with the Black team taking the victory, a testament to their hard work, strategic play, and teamwork. In Tournament B, the Saint-Laurent team triumphed with a 2:0 win against the Red team, showcasing their talent and earning the support of their local community.

The day also marked the presentation of the Gr7nta Award, recognizing exceptional talent and dedication among our athletes. This prestigious accolade celebrated the achievements and hard work of all participants, bringing a memorable close to the girls’ event.

In a turn of unforeseen circumstances, the boys’ showcase at Marie-Victorin encountered unexpected adjustments, leading to the cancellation of the remainder of the boys’ showcase. However, the spirit of the event was preserved through a meaningful College Fair and a match between two teams, reflecting the resilience and sportsmanship inherent in our participants.

Day 2 was a landmark day for our talented girls’ teams, marking the completion of their registration process. The air was filled with excitement as the participants received their jerseys and met their teammates for the very first time. But the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the drill session led by our dedicated coaches. This was not just about practice; it was about forming bonds, understanding teamwork, and setting the stage for the competitive spirit of the tournament. On the boys’ side, the tournament officially kicked off with an intense match between Team Black and Team Green. Both teams displayed incredible talent, teamwork, and determination, but it was Team Black who clinched the victory with a narrow 1:0 win over Team Green. A special shoutout goes to Lucas Galo, whose exceptional performance on the field earned him the Player of the Match title. His intensity and skill were a sight to behold and set a high standard for the games to follow.

As we move into Day 3, the excitement reaches new heights with the official opening of the tournament games for both boys and girls. As the FindME Showcase Winter 2024 entered its second day, the fervor from the boys’ session set a high bar for excitement and excellence. Over 150 young male athletes, brimming with enthusiasm, completed their registration yesterday, joining forces with their designated teammates. The air was charged as these talented boys participated in a series of meticulously designed drills, orchestrated by coaches who generously arrived early to kickstart this segment of our weekend spectacle.

Today, the anticipation builds for the girls’ registration and drill sessions, slated to commence at 4:30 PM for Tournament A participants, followed by Tournament B at 5:30 PM. Each group will immerse themselves in an hour of intensive drills under the tutelage of our expert coaching staff. The presence of over 60 coaches for the girls and an impressive roster of more than 75 coaches for the boys—hailing from prestigious leagues and institutions such as the MLS, USL, CPL, NCAA, U SPORT, and renowned prep schools and academies—underscores the unmatched opportunity awaiting our athletes.

The day is set to culminate in the first boys’ match from 8-9 PM, marking yet another highlight of this showcase. With such a diverse and elite level of coaching talent on display, today promises to be a day of significant growth, learning, and spirited competition.
