FMSpro is proud to announce the commitment of Lanessah Gentles to West Virginia State University!

Lanessah is a powerful forward who plays for Burlington. She is strong and physical, a good dribbler, and is not afraid to drive at defenders 1v1 and take players on. During her time with Burlington, Lanessah has played an instrumental role in the attacking third, serving as both a creative playmaker and goalscorer while helping the Bayhawks compete at the top of the OPDL.

The head coach at West Virginia State is Jacob Edwards. West Virginia State has consistently competed at a high level, and last season the Yellow Jackets finished with a 15-5-1 overall record and went 14-1-1 in conference play. The program will look to continue competing for a championship and make another run in the national tournament.

Hopefully, Lanessah can play a big role in the attacking third for the Yellow Jackets and continue to develop as a player at the next level.

Off the field, Lanessah is also a strong student, maintaining a good GPA in the classroom.
