FMSpro is proud to announce the commitment of Maiya Emberly to NCAA Division I University of South Florida.

Maiya is one of the top upcoming prospects coming out of Alberta. Maiya can play as both an outside back and winger and developed at Calgary Blizzard before joining Calgary Wild FC’s U23 Academy full-time.

The 2010-born defender/midfielder has a very high soccer IQ and always knows when to make runs going forward. Maiya isn’t afraid to take players on and get into the box. While at Calgary Wild FC, Maiya has spent a lot of time as a winger and has been one of the top goal scorers in the APL.

While many schools showed strong interest in Maiya, South Florida was the best fit both academically and athletically.

The head coach at South Florida is Chris Brown. South Florida continues to play one of the toughest schedules in the country against many of the top opponents.

Maiya is also an excellent student off the field and plans to pursue the pre-med pathway. South Florida offers amazing opportunities in the medical field, including having a hospital on campus.
