FMSpro is proud to announce the signing of Sofia Lombardo Varisco at Taft School. Sofia is a very talented central midfielder who plays for the talented 2007 As Laval. The midfielder is extremely technical and physical. Sofia has fantastic vision and is a dangerous threat in the attacking third. She has a fantastic shot and has scored very important goals for AS Laval. This year AS Laval is one of the favorite teams to qualify for a Canadian Championship. Sofia comes to Taft after having interest from several schools. Taft seemed like the best fit. The head coach, Rebecca Parente, is super excited about the addition of Sofia and believes she will be an amazing leader and control her midfield. On top of being a talented player, Sofia is a very strong student in the classroom. Sofia has already garnered interest from a few D1 programs, and they will surely continue to follow her and see her progress at Taft School.

FMSpro is proud to announce the signing of Ryan Moteng at Daytona State. Ryan is one of the most athletic and versatile wingers currently playing for FC Laval in the PLSQ. He possesses great speed and a keen sense for goal. Known for his ability to take on players 1-on-1, Ryan is dynamic and poses a significant threat in attack. He garnered interest from several top Division 1 programs at our last event. Ryan has decided to make his first move to the United States, joining one of the best JUCO programs nationally, Daytona State. He also reunites with his former teammate, Josue Youta, who we signed earlier this year. Together, they are expected to be formidable in the attacking third. Daytona State’s head coach, Joe Avallone, is excited about this new attacking addition. With Ryan and Josue teamed up, he believes they will pose serious challenges to opponents’ defenses.

Emma, a dynamic and rapid winger currently representing FC Laval and Vanier College, played a pivotal role in FC Laval’s championship pursuit, emerging as one of the team’s premier scorers. Despite narrowly missing out on nationals, Emma’s exceptional speed has captured the attention of coaches. Following a rigorous decision-making process among multiple offers, Emma selected LIU for its ideal blend of academic and athletic excellence. Head Coach Melina Couzis eagerly anticipates Emma’s arrival, foreseeing her contribution of not only pace but also invaluable experience and explosiveness to the team’s attacking line. Emma’s versatility extends to her ability to excel on the wing or up front, where she thrives in one-on-one situations, adept at creating scoring opportunities. LIU is enthusiastic about Emma’s addition, confident that she will bolster their offensive prowess and propel the program to greater heights.

A formidable goalkeeper from Oakville Blue Devils, Brennan is renowned for his imposing presence in the box and his ability to make crucial saves. His technical proficiency enhances his play with defenders, allowing him to effectively utilize his footwork. Brennan is celebrated as one of the top goalkeepers in his age category in Ontario, boasting an impressive 4.0 GPA academically. Western Reserve Academy, known for its selectivity and low acceptance rate, partners with Black Rock FC, where Brennan will play while attending. This all-year program offers continuous training and showcases, under the guidance of Head Coach Herbert Haller. Coach Haller expresses confidence in Brennan’s abilities to immediately fill the shoes of the departing goalkeeper, anticipating that Brennan will meet the team’s needs perfectly.
