Recognizing the importance of gradual progression, Belaid sees Junior college as the ideal entry point into the United States. His journey includes stints in Europe, culminating in his decision to advance his career in the U.S. Among several interested institutions, Coffeyville emerged as the perfect match, not least because it competes in what is arguably the premier conference in Junior college soccer. Steven Harrison, the head coach at Coffeyville, was particularly in search of a midfielder capable of making an immediate impact, and he believes Belaid perfectly fits this role.

Sebastian’s unwavering dedication and versatile skill set make him an asset to any team. Born in 2006, he garnered interest from several programs, ultimately finding the perfect fit with Eastern Illinois. Head Coach Josh Oakley is confident in Sebastian’s abilities, stating, “Sebastian is my guy. This is who I want in my back line.” Impressed by Sebastian’s performance in Arizona, Coach Oakley sees a promising future for him.
