FMSPRO COMMITS
Braden Stevanovic → West Virginia University
FMSpro is proud to announce the signing of Braden Stevanovic to NCAA D1’s West Virginia University. Braden ranks among the top 15 players in the country for his age group. Born in 2006, this midfielder has made appearances with Canada’s U17 team and was on the preliminary list for the 2023 World Cup in Indonesia.
At the provincial level, Braden represented Team Ontario, playing a pivotal role in their successes. The left-footed midfielder showcases great versatility, adept at playing in various positions within the midfield and attacking third. Braden’s agility and explosiveness, combined with his keen goal sense, set him apart. Before transitioning to play in League One Ontario for Windsor City FC, where he notched a hat-trick in his debut, he was part of the Toronto FC Academy.
Braden is certainly a talent to watch closely, with potential for an early MLS draft pick. He received offers from, and caught the interest of, numerous D1 programs, but West Virginia stood out as the best fit. The head coach of West Virginia University is Daniel Stratford, an alumnus of the same institution and a former MLS draftee. His assistants, Andy Wright and Nick Noble, are both West Virginia alumni and were subsequently drafted into the MLS. The team currently holds a position in the NCAA D1 top 5.
Additionally, FTF Canada ranked Braden number 1 and supported his significant decision. The future is undoubtedly bright for Braden, and tracking his progress over the upcoming years will be thrilling. Congratulations, Braden! We wish you all the best.
